Florence M. Huff's Obituary
Florence M. Huff (nee Dunhour) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Mt. Holly Rehabilitation Center in Lumberton, NJ. Born in Milford Township, PA to Clarence J. and Mary Wilson (Stewart) Dunhour. Florence was 101 years old. She was a resident of Willingboro since 1962.
Beloved wife of 30 years to the late Truman P. Huff, who died in 1990; Dear sister of Eleanor A. Luther, the late Roy C. Dunhour and the late Lillian A Finno; Loving aunt of Elaine Finno, Darlene Zach, Alice Sabre (Edward) Carol Lauria, Violet Luther, Martin Luther Sr. (Roberta); Great Aunt of Jennifer, Harrison Varner Jr, Martin Jr. and Alissa Luther, Zachary, Faith, Marcus, Hollie, Matthew, Emily, Anna, Julia Sabre; Great Great Aunt to Mason McDonnell.
Florence was employed as a general clerk for the Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia, until her retirement. She was a member of the Red Lion Faith Chapel in Southampton and a former member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Willingboro.
Florence enjoyed spending time with her nieces in Wildwood, spending the holidays with her sister and family, and a lot of her time with her neighbor Ann who took care of her. She enjoyed making care packages (shoeboxes) for the children and the needed for the holiday. She was the cookie maker for the family until she passed it on to her niece Violet. She enjoyed reading her devotion books daily. She was involved in a lot of church groups and clubs for the elderly. Florence if mostly known for her Love for Christ, her Smile, Laughter and HUGS were a definite must. That was her secret for a long healthy life. She Loved everyone and everyone loved her. In 2021 she received a certificate from the Mayor when she turned 100 which she was so proud of. She will be dearly missed by many.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, August 6th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. Florence’s Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m.
Burial will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
