Frances A. Ade's Obituary
Frances A. Ade (nee Skalski) passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Masonic Home in Burlington. Born in Flushing, NY to Frank and Sophie Skalski, Frances was 93 years old. She was a resident of Delran since 1969 and formerly lived in Willingboro.
Beloved wife of 29 years to the late Adam C. Ade. Loving mother of Joanne (the late William) Dunmore, Thomas (Pamela Randazzo) and Christopher (the late Suzanne) Ade. Cherished Grammy to Christina (Steve) Postlewait, Stephanie (Ryan) Mohr and Matthew Ade. Great Grammy to William and Matthew Postlewait and Madelyn Mohr. Frances is predeceased by her brother and sister; Stan Skalski and Elizabeth Falborski.
Fran grew up in Bayside NY and was the first in her family to graduate from high school. After graduating she commuted to NYC where she worked for Madison Avenue ad agencies. She met her husband at a church social and was married in 1951. Following Adam’s career in road construction Fran moved to Levittown PA then to Levittown NJ (now known as Willingboro). In 1969 Fran relocated to Delran, NJ and remained there until her death.
Fran's life was all about her devotion to her family, friends, church and community. She created a lovely home and was happiest when she was feeding others. She volunteered in church and school organizations and also was involved with the local Republican committee. Fran was a voracious reader going through at least a book a week. When life slowed her down, she continued to create needlepoint Christmas stockings for family and friends babies and knit wool caps for newborns.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North.
And relatives and friends are invited to attend Frances’ Funeral Mass Friday 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 42 W. Main Street Moorestown.
