Frances M. Baun's Obituary
Frances M. Baun (nee Resch) passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 21, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, PA on September 29, 1932, Frances was 85 years old.
Beloved wife of the late Leonard J. Baun, her sweetheart and soulmate for 55 years. Loving mother of Christina (Gary Frisch) Daniels, Jeanette Golden and Georgeanne (Frank) Bruzzese. Nana to Harry (Amanda) Lane, Kyle (Brooke Stroud) Lane, Arielle Golden, Gianna Bruzzese, Olivia Daniels, Ryan Golden, Richy Golden, Dante Bruzzese and Giuliana Bruzzese, and Great Nana to Ada Elise Lane, Amelia Grace Daniels and Emlyn Denise and Rosa Marie Barger. Daughter of the late George and Frances Resch, Frances was also the sister of the late Clara Resch. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
In her vibrant life, Frances was a master chef, hostess, avid reader, world traveler, devout Catholic, equestrian, lifeguard, swimmer and loyal friend. Frances loved to entertain and her lavish dinner parties and luncheons are still remembered fondly by her many friends. Her “happy place” was Cape May, NJ and Frances was lovingly known as “The Cape May Diamond.” Frances was outgoing, vivacious, loved to dance and enjoy her martinis - with 2 olives!
Frances was a dedicated volunteer and served as a committeewoman for many years for the Democratic National Committee. She also served as an aide to a state senator. Most importantly, Frances was a loving wife, mommy and nana, and was dedicated to her family. She brought everyone together, reached out to so many and fostered endless friendships. She will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Frances’ gathering at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 N., on Friday, September 28, from 9:00 – 10:00 am. Her funeral mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo, 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson. Interment will be private at Forest Hills Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
