Frances Ann Cox's Obituary
Frances Ann Cox (née King), of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late John F. King and Ann (née Tisanich) King.
Frances was the devoted wife of the late James “Mike” Cox, with whom she shared many happy years of marriage after meeting in the 1970s. Together, they loved to travel and especially enjoyed their time down in Wildwood. Frances was also a proud longtime season ticket holder for the Philadelphia Eagles.
She was a loving mother to Joseph Denning (Michelle) and John Denning (Diane), and a caring stepmother to Shawn Cox. She was a proud grandmother to Stephanie (Alex), Alison (Chris), Danny, the late Luke, Cam, Cole, Jack, Olivia, and Marie. Frances was also a cherished sister to John P. King.
For many years, Fran worked at the Wine Cellar in Cinnaminson before she served as a dedicated crossing guard for Moorestown Township, where she helped many children safely cross at Church and Maple Avenue. She was known and loved by her neighbors, always up for a good conversation—and a good glass of wine. Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren, whom she adored and always made sure were well-supplied with sweets.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, May 12th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, followed by her memorial service at 4:00 PM at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances’ name may be made to Wigs and Wishes or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
