Francis Flynn's Obituary
Flynn, Francis J. ?Frank? died peacefully on September 4, 2013 age 92 years. He was born in Philadelphia, he lived in Maple Shade for 43 years. Frank worked for the Reading Railroad for 37 years. He was a US Navy Veteran who proudly served his country in the South Pacific Theatre during WW ll . He was a longtime parishioner of OLPH Church. He volunteered at the Maple Shade Food Bank and was a member of the OLPH Senior Citizens and Maple Shade Leisure Club. He was also a member of the South Jersey Tropical Fish Association. Frank was an avid gardener, fisherman and a tropical fish collector. Beloved husband to Jean (nee Conner) who died November 1983 and Rosemary (nee Kirwan) who died September 2010. Loving father of Jeanne Montgomery (Mike), Peggy Clifford, Trish Flynn (Patrick May), John Flynn (William R. Toner). Dear brother of Cass Anastasi (Bob) and the late Margaret Hudson and Elizabeth Flynn. Dear Grandfather of Michele Schreiner (John), Scott Montgomery, Kevin Montgomery (Allison), Lauren Clifford, William Clifford, Deanna Lacava. Proud Great Grandfather of Charles and Adam Schreiner. Frank was survived by 7 stepchildren Bernard Donahue Jr (Margaret), Paul Donahue (Donna), Rosemary Donahue Newell (Harry), Mary Collen Donahue Holland (Late Bernard), Brian Donahue (Donna) David Donahue (Bonnie), Michelle Donahue Zoll (Richard) also 23 step grandchildren, 7 great step grandchildren, and 2 great great step grandchildren. Relatives and Friends are invited to Franks Life Celebration Visitation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 236 E Main St. Maple Shade NJ 08052 on Saturday September 14 from 10:00 -11:00 am followed by his Memorial Mass at 11:00 am. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ. In Lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Fox Chase Cancer Research 333 Cottman Ave Phila. PA 19111 or Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 236 E Main St Maple Shade, NJ 08052
