Francis Kern's Obituary
Francis Kern, 93, formerly of Cinnaminson, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2018. Loving husband to the late Anna Marie Kern (nee Pisacano) for 64 years. Dear father to Francis G. Kern (Kerry), Patricia Kern (Lawrence Rosania) and Donna Kern (Andrew Armetta). Beloved grandfather of Jenna, Megan, Kevin, Kara, Andrew and Erika. Great grandfather of Nathan, Evan, Shane and Saxton. Brother to Joseph Kern and Cecelia Konoza.
Fran was a veteran of the Army Air-force from 1943-1946. He served in overseas theaters in India, China and Burma. He returned from the service and attended Drexel Institute of Technology, earning his Bachelor’s in 1956 and his Master’s in 1960. Originally from the Manayunk neighborhood of Philadelphia, Fran moved with his young family to Cinnaminson in 1959.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday, July 25th At Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130. N, from 8:30-10:00am. His funeral mass will follow at 10:30am at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Cinnaminson. Entombment in Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, alz.org.
