Francisco Augusto Cardoso, 89, of Medford, NJ, passed away on February 28, 2024, with his family by his side. Born on August 5, 1934, to Augusto Henrique and Maria Joana Cardoso. Devoted husband to Armanda Cardoso. Beloved father to Ilda, Carla, son in law Dan, Frank and daughter in law Annie. Dear grandfather to Bruno, Javier, Alyssa, Anthony, Damien, Aidan, Tristan, and Logan. Great Grandfather to Ema and Afonso. His guidance, love and loyalty will be missed by everyone that knew him.
Francisco grew up in Portugal and migrated to Newark NJ in 1971 where he met his wife in 1973, bought his first home and worked as a concrete mason. He was passionate about his soccer team (Beinfica), his fishing and his wife. All who knew him would say he was a stubborn man, a fighter until the very end and a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His devotion to his wife, his children, his career and his soccer was unmatched. His sense of humor gave everyone in his life memories that will hold strong forever.
A private gathering of family will be held on Monday, March 4th from 10:30 am to 1:00pm with his life celebration reception following.
