Skip was a great friend from High School and after. I reconnected with him through Joan Quigley-Howard. We talked on the phone many times. And he was in my daily thoughts and prayers. I so admired his courage and patience during his unfortunate illness. A real example to all. When I only got voicemail the past few months, I suspected things had worsened. I will miss him so much. The fact that he died on my Birthday will always keep him very close in my heart. He was the best.

My condolences to Skip's family from a high school classmate, basketball foe(8th grade), and teammate(9th). Skip was thought to be the only 3-sport athlete in our class, a point that emerged during a catchup discussion about Skip during our most recent class reunion last September.
Sometime in the early years after high school graduation, I had left my class ring at an event 100 miles away; it was sent to McDevitt and Skip was able to identify it as belonging to me and arranged for its return to me.
