Fred D. Rock's Obituary
Fred Rock, a resident of Cinnaminson for 43 years, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on January 30, 2015. He was 79 years old.
Fred was the beloved husband of Dorothy "Dot" (nee Tomko) for 51 years. Loving father of Lisa Friedrich (Adam), Donna Harry (Pete), Don (Amanda), and Debra Young (Tim). Dear grandfather of PJ, Ally, Dylan, Christopher, Jordan, Holly, TJ, Lauren, Joey, Rob, Melissa, Brian, Samantha, and Katie. He is predeceased by his brother Jim Rock and sister Helen Sladin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Fred was a dedicated employee of Cinnaminson Township for 36 years. Fred proudly served as the Cinnaminson police mechanic. He was a lifetime member of the Cinnaminson Fire Department. He loved his town and the people who lived here. Fred was always the first person to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a gathering for Fred at Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Rte. 130 N., on Monday from 7 pm - 9 pm, and on Tuesday from 8:15 am - 9:15 am. His funeral Mass will follow at 10 am at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 43 W. Maple Ave., Merchantville. Entombment in Lakeview Memorial Park, 1300 Rte. 130 N., Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred's name may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
