Freda Ruth Scully's Obituary
Freda Ruth Scully (nee White), affectionately known as “The Queen” to her friends and family, passed away peacefully at Harmony Village in Moorestown, NJ on October 13, 2024. Formerly of Willingboro, NJ, she was born in Gloucester City, NJ to the late James Joseph and Freda Myrtle (nee Smith) White, she was 87 years old.
Freda was the beloved wife of the late CW4 Ferdinand L. Scully for 43 years; loving mother of Ferdinand A. Scully of Millsboro, DE, Michael Scully of Mantua, NJ, Leon Scully of Milford, DE, Constance Byrd (Wesley) of Mount Laurel, NJ, Thomas Scully of Philadelphia, PA, and Mary Picariello of Burlington, NJ; cherished grandmother of Robert Byrd (Dawn), Renee Azeez (Fayez), Joseph Byrd (Toni), Jacob Byrd, Taylor Orban (Jeffrey), and Lauren Scully; great grandmother of 5; dear sister of Barbara Killeen (the late Jack). Freda was predeceased by her loving companion, James Cochran, and is survived by his wonderful family. She was also predeceased by her siblings, James White, Frances Reid, and Mary Alice Birchmeier. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss her greatly.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, on Saturday, October 19th from 2 pm to 3 pm. A service will begin at 3 pm, followed by a life celebration reception. Interment is private for the family.
