Freda Ellen Walat's Obituary
Freda Ellen Walat (nee Martin), 94, formerly of Maple Shade, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2022. Dear wife to the late Joseph Walat for 50 years. Beloved mother to Barbara Christy (Paul), Joseph Walat (Millie), and Martin Walat (Wendi). Grandmother to Paul Jr., Jeffery, Jackie, Jennifer, Tiffany, Mark, Jessica, Justin, Jake, and Jason. Great grandmother to seven and great-great grandmother to eight. Daughter to the late George and Mary Martin. Freda was the last surviving of 8 siblings. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, July 26th at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 E. Main Street, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Her funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 27th at 10:00am Holy Savior Church, 50 Emerald Ave. Haddon Township, NJ 08108. Entombment will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery in Pennsauken. In lieu of flowers, donations in Freda’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s hospital, stjude.org or The Wounded Warriors Project, woundedwarriorproject.org.
