Frederick J. Krug Jr., 87, from Cape May, NJ, peacefully passed away at home on December 16, 2023. He was born on November 24, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Frederick J. Krug Sr. and Carlita Krug (nee Tate). He was the beloved husband of the late Elaine Krug, who passed away in 1987, a cherished father to Dr. Joseph Krug (Margarita), Jamie Story, and Jennifer Krug (Greg Gilbert), and a loving grandfather to Taylor Vallen and Courtney Bach. Fred was also a proud great-grandfather to Jackson, Jayce, and Colton. He will be missed by his dear friend Rosanne Lindmar.
He spent many years as a dedicated union sheet metal worker for local 19 in Philadelphia before retiring. Fred cherished his leisure time by frequenting the shore, indulging in his passion for fishing, and actively participating in the Wildwood Fisherman’s Club and the Wildwood Elks. Friends and family will dearly miss his captivating storytelling, lively gatherings, and his affectionate nature. Fred's vibrant personality truly made him a standout figure.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, December 29th from 11-12:00pm at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 E. Main Street, and his funeral service will begin at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at Colestown Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ.
