Gaeton R. Goffredo's Obituary
Gaeton R. Goffredo “Gator” passed away peacefully at his sister’s residence in Cinnaminson, New Jersey on September 16, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Born in Philadelphia to Vincent and Francesca Goffredo, Gator was 63 years old. He was a resident of Cinnaminson, New Jersey for the last 45 years.
Gaeton is survived by his mother Francesca (De Candia) Goffredo, his sister Anne Marie Johnson, his nephew Zachary Johnson and many loving family members and friends.
Gaeton was loved by many, he had a wonderful personality and was a true friend to all. He would always reach out a helping hand. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Although his career started as a Geo-physical engineer, working with companies to determine the earth's minerals and later in technology, with ISC-Bunker Ramo, Olivetti and Wang, his passion was always music. He performed as back-up guitarist for several celebrities and eventually had his own band, the "Gators".
Music was his passion along with his family and friends. He always had a positive "Can-Do" attitude and fought valiantly against this disease. Cancer unfortunately overtook him, but he went peacefully and now is no longer suffering but playing music in Heaven.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson, NJ, 1200 Route 130 North from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Gaeton’s Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 42 W. Main Street, Moorestown, NJ.
Entombment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park.
The family is requesting memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society instead of flowers.
