My Dearest Uncle Gary
There is a huge hole in my heart today knowing you are no longer with us. I will always remember the laughter you brought into our family. You loved to make us laugh and your silly comedic ways. I can still hear you calling my mom saying Tru. Tru as that’s what you always called her and I never want to stop hearing it. I’ll never forget it and I miss you so much. Yet, I know I’ll be seeing you as you also were a believer in Jesus. I shared a photo of a memory of us going on our boat down the Delaware River and having lunch. You said “faster faster “ and Scott did that as he likes fast to. You were so happy that day. Looking back it’s a memory I’ll cherish until I see you again. Rest In Peace my Dearest Uncle. I love you and miss you so much. Till we meet again. All my love Amy L Winkels
Gary was a character for sure. This is a pic of Gary trying to scare Kaleigh his great neice before going out on holloween. She wasn’t scared and laughed at him being a big pumpkin. She shared her candy with him when she got home, as he loved sugar all too much. With love Uncle Gary. I love you forever. Kaleigh Winkels
Gary loved football and we would play together in the small lot behind my parents house in Camden. I would be the quarterback and Gary would be the receiver. He was athletic in his own right and would always tell me to pass the ball to where he would have to dive for it to catch it. How many hours did we play pool down the basement, with his recording the game results during those years we enjoyed playing together. He loved compiling volumes of such statistics and I would comment to him many times how he should be a sports commentator. Years later, towards the end of his life, he would have me meet him for some games of pool on a full size table, he was good competition
winning at least half the time. I'll miss the good times and fun we had together and that's how I'll remember him, smiling and enjoying life. Prayerfully he will be smiling eternally in Heaven with Jesus and mom and dad, no more pain or sorrow, waiting to welcome us. Love you my little Brother. I'll be seeing you...
Memories memories. This was a trip my brother Gary and I took to see the battleship New Jersey. He was amazed at the ships size pointing so much out to me. He was a sports enthusiast and weatherman in his own right... I’ll love and cherish many many great memories of him. Rest In Peace my dear brother. I miss you. I love you.
