George Foster's Obituary
George Foster passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at home with his children by his side. He was 92. Born at home on Logan St. in Wilmington, DE, he was a resident of Maple Shade, NJ at the time of his passing.
George served in the Army for 27 years during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Upon his retirement he went on to work for the Mt. Holly Water Co. Never one to stay still, George worked as a manager at night for the NCO Club at Ft. Dix and when he retired from the Water Company he worked as a driver for Twin Oaks Integrated Care.
George is preceded in death by his wife, Sugako; a daughter, Madeline and all his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his 4 children, Irene Foster-James and husband Mark of Willingboro, NJ, Aaron Foster of Mt. Holly, NJ, Roxanna Foster of Moorestown, NJ and Debrah James and husband Daryl of Willingboro, NJ, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held at Givnish Funeral Home of Maple Shade, 600 E. Main Street on Thursday, September 21st from 10:30-11:45am, with burial and service at Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Deborah Heart and Lung in George’s name. For more information, please visit Givnish.com
