George "Mick" M Myers' Obituary
George “Mick” M. Myers, 84, of Delran, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026 with his family by his side. Born on February 10, 1942 in Philadelphia to George J. Myers and Dorothy Myers (nee Buckley). Devoted husband of Josephine Myers (nee Cicali) for 64 years, having married on November 10, 1962. Loving father of Mike Myers (Shannon), Matthew Myers (Carla), and Maria Gamble (Ed). Proud Pop Pop of Finley (Evelyn), Quinn, Griffin, Nolan, Fiona, Matthew “MD,” Loghan, Ainsley/Alex, and Sullivan. Dear brother of Jane White (David) and brother-in-law of Marie Faunce. He will also be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Mick was a graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School, class of 1960. He worked as a salesman for Mars Incorporated for 20 years and was fortunate to retire at a young age. He always made sure his loved ones had the newest M&M Mars candies to enjoy. He also worked previously for the Phillies, and he would often reminisce with fond memories of Connie Mack Stadium. Growing up, he loved his trips to Wildwood, a passion he carried throughout his life and later bought a home in North Wildwood. Mick was a devoted fan of the University of Notre Dame, an avid fisherman, hunter, and baseball card collector. He rarely missed an opportunity to stop in South Bend amidst his travels through the Midwest. He was a lifelong Philly sports’ fan but held the Phillies in the highest regard of them all.
Mick was a master storyteller, even if a few were a little off color at times. He could strike up immediate conversation with a stranger standing behind him in line or amongst a crowd. His family got to know most of his endless stories as they would sometimes be repeated with a slight twist to the previous telling. Most importantly, he was known for his kindness, generosity, humor, and willingness to help anyone in need. He enjoyed trips to Williamsburg, cherished time with his grandchildren, and boasted constantly of their accomplishments. Despite his infirmity the past few years, his wit, sense of humor, and empathy for others never wavered. He was memorable to all he met as one always walked away feeling better after having met this kind, fun-loving, affable man.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Givnish of Cinnaminson. Guests are able to greet the family starting at 10:00am, and Mick’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Resurrection Parish, St. Casimir’s Site in Riverside at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Riverside.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mick’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
