George Rudolph Browne's Obituary
George Rudolph Browne, age 84 of Delran, New Jersey, entered peacefully into, final rest on Tuesday, July 23, at Virtua Hospital, Evesham, New Jersey.
George as all knew him was born with twin brother Edward to parents Ada Browne and Rupert Doyle on April 8, 1929 in Bridgetown, Barbados, where he lived until his migration to the United States in 1972.
He attended the Bay Street Boys School (Now the Bay Primary School.)
George was employed at the Barbados Rediffusion for several years before becoming one of the city's local businessmen, owning and operating a neighborhood food and liquor store at the corner of Beckwith and Wellington Streets in the city of Bridgetown.
In 1971 he married his beloved wife Velma in Barbados, and traveled to the United States where he lived until his death.
George worked at the Cherry Hill Hospital for 25 years until his retirement.
George is survived by his wife Velma, children Joy Hinds, Georgia Trinter. Stepfather of Tyronne (Margaret) Harvey, brother-in-law of Doreen (Fred) Hill and Bob (Stella) Harvey. Uncle of Andre, Krisandra (Frederick) both of Georgia and Joan of Maryland. Also survived by a host of family and friends.
George was preceded in death by his mother Ada, father Rupert and his brother Edward.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend George's Life Celebration and viewing Saturday, August 3rd, from 10-11 a.m. at Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. His Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
