George 'Papa Smurf' Williamson Sr.'s Obituary

George R. Williamson Sr. Of Maple Shade passed away on 1/17/16. George was a long time resident of Maple Shade and Chief Engineer for American Dredging Company and Weeks Marine. George is survived by his sons, George R. Jr., J.T., and daughters Dona Cox, Patricia I. Merritt, Stephanie and the late Denise Soulliard, Debra Tindall, and Robert. He is Father to 8 children, Grandfather to 22, with 40 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. George's greatest love was bringing people together and spending time with those he loved. George cared for his family most of all. Many residents of Maple Shade could easily recognize him as he drove down Main Street, driving his blue truck, "Papa Smurf" written across the front...he would say"Papa Smurf because he looked after all his Smurfs". Relatives and friends are invited to George’s Life Celebration Friday 7-9pm and********Monday 9-11am at Inglesby Givnish’s of Maple Shade, 600 E. Main Street. Services 11am.
