Geraldine E. Cavella's Obituary
Geraldine E. Cavella, 83, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2023. Devoted wife to the late Robert J. Cavella, Sr. for 37 years. Beloved mother to Robert Cavella, Jr. (Jen) and Christina Cavella (Alex Pinedo). Grandmother to Alyssa Cavella and Emmanuel Pinedo Rasdall. Dear sister to Jean Gardner (Robert).
Jerry grew up in Maple Shade, raised her family in Delran, and more recently lived in Delanco. She loved to look her best for all occasions and kept an immaculate house and garden. Jerry did secretarial work for the Internal Revenue Service in Philadelphia for many years, before and after taking time to be a stay-at-home mom. Together with her late husband, Jerry volunteered with the Riverside-Delran-Delanco Rotary Club and made many trips to the Dominican Republic to support an orphanage there. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughter. When she wasn't working, she could be found dancing with friends or at the beach in Wildwood Crest.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, January 28th at Givnish of Maple Shade from 9:00am to 10:00am. Her funeral mass will follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help of Maple Shade at 10:30am. Burial will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry's name may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation
