Gerard F. Kriss' Obituary
Gerard F. Kriss passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at his home in Cinnaminson surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 61 years to Lillian. Loving father of Karen Cifolelli and Gary Kriss. Cherished grandfather of Jane, Benjamin and Michael. Father-in-law to Orazio Cifolelli and Karen Kriss. Gerry was 82 years old.
Raised with his sister Barbara and brother Ted in the little town of Duryea, PA in the heart of the Wyoming Valley, Gerry went on to attend Orchard Lake Preparatory, Orchard Lake, MI. He graduated with a degree in Political Science from the University of Scranton, met Lillian and married.
They moved to the Philadelphia suburbs where Gerry began over a 40 year career in the pharmaceutical industry. First with Schering-Plough, and then onto Ives Laboratories, New York, NY and Wyeth International, Radnor, PA. As a leading Marketing Executive for Wyeth and logging over a million miles, Gerry traveled the globe extensively arranging and organizing various international conferences and symposiums in Europe, Russia, China, Africa, South America and the Southern Pacific Rim.
Gerry and Lil have been residents of Cinnaminson and Parishioners of St. Charles Borromeo since 1969, and shortly thereafter became members of the Riverton Country Club, where Gerry enjoyed countless rounds of golf with friends and fellow members. Loyal fan of Penn State University Football, Lil’s Alumni, regularly attending games with family and friends was a fall tradition. Gerry also enjoyed many long weekends at their home in Avalon NJ, bicycling and relishing time with his grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Branch Pike and Pomona Road Cinnaminson, NJ 08077. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orchard Lake Schools
