Germaine Borek's Obituary
Germaine Borek (nee Murawski) passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Philadelphia to Stephen and Elizabeth (nee O'Connell) Murawski, Germaine was 54 years old and a resident of Riverside.
Beloved wife of 37 years to Timothy M. Borek and cherished mother of Merissa, Timothy, and Trevor Borek. Devoted Grandma to Stella and Beckham, who were among her greatest joys. Loving daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth Murawski; dear sister of Stephen (Deborah) Murawski, Matthew Murawski, and Jeffrey (Jamie) Murawski; cherished sister-in-law of Tina (Kevin) Borek and Taylor Borek; and beloved daughter-in-law of Betty Borek. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Germaine will be remembered for her heart of gold, vibrant spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. A truly selfless person, she always placed the needs of others before her own and cared for everyone around her with kindness, compassion, and generosity. Her warmth and radiant personality could brighten any room, and she had a special gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved.
As a wife, mother, and grandmother, Germaine was the heart of her family. She was a protector, a source of strength, and a constant presence of love and encouragement. Known affectionately as a "Dancing Queen," she loved to dance, laugh, and bring smiles to others. Her enthusiasm for life was contagious, and her ability to spread happiness touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Above all, Germaine's greatest joy was her family. The love she shared with her husband, children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends knew no bounds. Even during her illness, her concern remained focused on the well-being and happiness of those around her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to a gathering on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ. A second gathering will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, St. Casimir Church, 502 New Jersey Avenue, Riverside, NJ 08075. Germaine's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Germaine's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
