Gilbert Rosado's Obituary
Gilbert Rosado, affectionately known as “Bubba", to some and to most, Gil, passed away on February 3, 2026. He was a man whose presence was impossible to ignore and whose impact will never be forgotten. Raised around 8th & Butler, Gilbert attended Thomas Alva Edison Fareira High School, where the roots of his bold, unapologetic personality first took shape.
Gilbert later pursued his passion for aviation, proudly completing his studies at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance. He lived by the motto “Go hard or go home,” a phrase that perfectly captured how he approached life—full throttle, no shortcuts, and no filters.
Above all else, Gilbert’s proudest accomplishments were his daughters, Asia, Athalee, Viviana and son Vincente. They were his heart, his motivation, and his greatest legacy. He was a devoted husband to Angela Rosado, with whom he shared love, life, and family.
Gilbert’s character was truly one of a kind. He told it like it was, held no punches, and stayed unapologetically himself—whether that meant speaking his truth, keeping it 100%, or (as legend goes) flipping a table or two. Known for his fitted hats and sunglasses, Gil walked with confidence and authenticity that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He impacted the lives of others by always showing up when it mattered most. If you needed him, he came through—no questions asked. His loyalty, honesty, humor and realness created bonds that will never be broken, even in his absence.
Gilbert is survived by his beloved wife, Angela (nee Cruz); his cherished children, Asia, Athalee, Viviana, and Vincente; his grandmothers Maria Rosado and Olivia Figueroa; and his sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many cousins, along with countless friends who became family over the years. He was predeceased by his father, the late Gilberto Rosado.
Though he may no longer be with us in body, Gilbert Rosado’s spirit, laughter, and fearless way of living will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Rest easy, Gil. Gone but never forgotten.
