Gladys Dorothy Runyon's Obituary
Gladys Dorothy Runyon / Rizzo (nee Nichols) of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away peacefully from this life on April 22, 2017. She was 88 years old.
Gladys was the beloved wife of the late Bernard Runyon and John S. Rizzo. She was the loving mother of Glat Butz (Jack), the late Johnny R. Rizzo, Donna Bennett (Bruce), and Michael Runyon (Debbie). Dear grandmother of Susan Hansen (Roy), the late John E. Tindall, Jr., Jack Butz (Tara), Kelli Butz, Dillon Rizzo, Heather Runyon, and Kelly Runyon. Great grandmother of Roy III, Blake, Grant, Victoria, John III, Matthew, Tyler, Brooke, and Hunter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Gladys was predeceased by her parents, John Orbey and Bertha A. Nichols; her siblings, Ethel, Katherine (Sam), Elmer (Sophie), Johnny (Mildred), Olive (Frank), and Bobby (Madonna).
Gladys was a resident of Cherry Hill for 88 years. She worked as a school bus driver for the Cherry Hill Public Schools. Our Nan devoted her life unselfishly to loving and taking care of all her family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Gladys’ life celebration gathering at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 N., on Wednesday evening from 7 – 9 pm, and Thursday morning from 9 – 11 am. Her prayer service will begin at 11 am, followed by interment in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
