Gloria R. Clayton's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Gloria R. Clayton
3/2/1939 – 12/15/2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gloria Clayton who went home to be with the Lord on December 15th, 2025, at the age of 86. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness, contagious smile, and unwavering faith.
Gloria was born on March 2nd, 1939, in Salem, NJ. Along with her sister and four brothers, she was raised in a close-knit family where hard work, perseverance, and responsibility were a part of everyday life. Growing up among many siblings, she learned the importance of family and faith from an early age.
As a devoted homemaker, she created a warm and welcoming home for her family. She was deeply involved in church and lived her faith through service to others. Known for her hospitality through shared meals, open doors, and a generous heart, many were blessed by her kindness, giving heart, and genuine care for those around her. Gloria lived her whole life dedicated to faith in God, her family, and service to others.
Together with her husband of 63 years, they built a home filled with love, joy, and adventure. She was a proud mother to Julie, Steven, Matthew, and Janie; a cherished grandmother to Clayton, Katherine, Melissa, Andrew, Rebecca, Victoria, Josh, Rachel, Paige, and Danielle; and a blessed great-grandmother to David, Riley, Bennett, and Brody. Her legacy of love, faith, and generosity will continue to live on through her family and the countless lives she impacted.
A Farewell Gathering will be held at Givnish Funeral Home in Cinnaminson, NJ on December 19th at 11:00 AM.
May her life verse and her example of living this verse remain forever in our hearts, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Rest in peace, Gloria. Your love and light will never be forgotten.
