Gloria Marie Hardiman's Obituary
Gloria Marie Hardiman (nee Berkey) formerly of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away on December 22nd, 2025, at the age of 96.
Born to the late Frederich and Dorothy (Tomulis) on March 22nd, 1929, in Philadelphia, PA. Gloria attended West Philadelphia Catholic Girls’ High School as part of the graduating class of 1946. After high school, Gloria completed courses at Drexel University. Growing up on Nassau Street in the Overbrook section of West Philadelphia, Gloria had met the love of her life, the late John F. Hardiman (Jack). The pair shared their love of family, friends, the Phillies and theater. Gloria and Jack married on January 20th, 1951, and spent a loving 59 years together before Jack’s passing in 2010.
Jack and Gloria welcomed four loving children into their lives, Michael Hardiman, John (Alison) Hardiman, Maureen (Thomas) Ryan, and Mark (Mary) Hardiman. Gloria loved being their mom, she created special memories with her children by always being there as they played with friends throughout the neighborhood, running them to music lessons or sporting events and especially cooking the family’s favorites (spaghetti and meatballs, vegetable soup and Peanut Butter Cake).
As Gloria’s children grew up to have families of their own, Gloria gained a new title as Mum Mum to her beloved grandchildren, Daniel (Brittany) Ryan, Matthew (Colleen) Hardiman, Laura (Todd) Price, Katie (Sean) Krasnansky, Alissa Hardiman, Caroline Ryan, Nicholas Hardiman, Eric Hardiman, and Natalie Hardiman, and her great-grandchildren Owen, Claire, Dylan, Zoe, Tanner, and Adelaide. Gloria loved her time spent with her grandchildren/great grandchildren.
Gloria’s family meant the world to her. Gloria was a math and science teacher at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Maple Shade, NJ, and St. Joan of Arc in Marlton, NJ. Gloria excelled as a teacher creating very high standards for her students. In her retirement, her joy of reading became a passion.
Gloria will be remembered fondly by those who knew and loved her for her dedication to family, friends and to her students.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Gloria’s viewing on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, from 8:30am – 9:30am, followed by a funeral ceremony at 10am at Givnish Funeral Homes, located at 600 E. Main Street, Maple Shade, NJ. Gloria will be reunited with her love, Jack, at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery immediately following the ceremony.
