My name is Steve Layne. Grayson hired me in late 1980 to work in Ogden Services internal audit department. I remained with Ogden till early 1997. I had the privilege to work for and with Grayson for over 16 years. I'm eternally grateful to him for seeing my ability when he hired me. The years I worked at Ogden were the best years of my life and I thank him for making it possible. Grayson was a very fine, decent and upstanding person and a dear friend. His passing is very sad and painful to me. I pray the best for his family.
I did not know Grayson in his younger years and I came to know him better through the Christmas letters that were sent out each year. What wonderful memories you all have of the many trips and gatherings that you all shared. A light has truly gone out of your lives, but the ray remains. To one of the kindest, most caring gentleman I knew, my Uncle Gray! Our family will always be thankful for your caring gesture when are Mom Could no longer attend mass and receive communion. You would come over to Sue‘s house every week and pray with her and administer the holy Eucharist to her. That meant so much to her and she looked forward to your visit every week. We will always be thankful to you for that. I know you are at peace now with your beloved sister and family. Until we meet again on the other side, you will always be in our prayers. I am so sorry to hear about Grayson's passing. We worked 7 wonderful years together in Ogden Services' Internal Audit department in New York in the 90s. Grayson was a mentor who taught me many lessons about auditing and was also a friend with whom I shared many laughs. Grayson spoke about his family often and was a great family man and Christian. He is in heaven but will be missed by all of us. Ed Jackson
