Halyna Kurjacza Markey's Obituary
Halyna Kurjacza Markey, of Cinnaminson, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 11, 2023. Halyna was born in a displaced persons camp in Ulm, Germany to the late Ivan and Katarina Kurjacza, who were fleeing war-torn Ukraine and eventually settled in the United States. She was 72 years old.
Halyna was the beloved wife of William Joseph Markey. They married in 1974, after meeting when they were just 13 years old. Halyna was the cherished mother of Nina (Chris Huber) and Natalie (Jason Marsdale); adoring grandmom to Gavin and Caroline. Halyna is survived by extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
