Hannelore Z. Goodwin's Obituary
Reverend Hannelore Z. Goodwin (nee Zodrow) of Warrington, PA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 11, 2015. She was born on January 18th, 1939 in Essen, Germany to Else and Albert Zodrow.
Hannelore was a loving mother of David B. McVaugh, Theresa M. Goggin-Roberts, and Michael A. McVaugh, grandmother of Megan, Sean, and Lauren McVaugh, Frank and Sarah Goggin, and Mary, Ann, Rose, and Albert McVaugh, and a great-grandmother of Kaelyn, Meah, and Layla.
Hannelore grew up in Germany and immigrated to the United States, along with her parents in 1957. She met and married William A. McVaugh in 1960, while working at U.S Steel, moved to the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia, and then to Cinnaminson, New Jersey. William predeceased her in 1985.
Reverend Hannelore received her Masters Degree in Metaphysical Science and dedicated her life to helping others achieve their highest spiritual potential. In 1995, she founded Circle of Miracles, a non-denominational church where she continued to be a driving force up until her passing. Each week at Circle of Miracles Reverend Hannelore invited everyone to unfold their spirituality in a joyful, serene and accepting atmosphere. In 2000, Reverend Hannelore founded Circle of Miracles Ministry School. Since then, the school has graduated nearly 150 Interfaith Ministers. Both the church and Ministry School are located in New Britain, PA.
Reverend Hannelore’s gentle wisdom, and compassionate approach made her a popular teacher. After studying the Usui Reiki System of Natural Healing with one of the original Reiki teachers in the United States (Master Rev. Beth Gray), Hannelore taught Reiki at Bucks County Community College and Circle Of Miracles, as well as Holy Family College, Life Spectrums, and various schools and therapies' centers.
Hannelore was preceded in death by her parents Else and Albert Zodrow, her brother Horst Zodrow, and sisters Ilse Siekmann, and Ruth Siekmann. Hannelore was the beloved wife of thirty years of the late Reverend Robert E. Goodwin, her second husband.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Hannelore’s Life Celebration Service at Doylestown United Methodist Church (320 East Swamp Rd, Doylestown, PA 18901), on Saturday, July 25th, 2015 at 9:30AM. Hannelore will be interred at a later date in a private ceremony at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
