HAROLD “HARRY” MIRANDA
Harold Rogers (“Harry”) Miranda, age 89, of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on January 20, 2019. He was born June 9, 1929 and raised in the Bronx, NY.
Devoted husband of 66 years to Marilyn E. “Lynn” (nee Wright). Together they had six children who cherished him: Michelle (Frank); Joyce (Ken); Jean (Michael); Mike (Allyson); Andy (Kathy); and Gail (Bob). Adored “Pa” to 10 grandchildren: Danielle, Britt, Dom (Courtney), Bri (Chris), Gillian, Greg (Erin), Lexy, Karly (Charly), Ariel and Cooper. Beloved great-grandfather to Teagan, Roman, Lucca, Grayson, and the newest addition, Bellamy Miranda Aydelotte. Predeceased by his sister, Edith, and loving parents, Josephine and Herman Miranda. Harry also leaves many special nieces, nephews and loyal friends, who loved him very much.
Harry was a celebrated Air Force 1st Lieutenant, graduated NYU with a degree in mathematics and began his life’s work as a pioneer in computer sciences.
A man of great strength, character and humor, Harry was an avid golfer, loved the horse races, enjoyed fishing with his buddies, and of course, his weekly card games.
Harry will be greatly missed and will live on in many hearts. Relatives and friends are invited to gather with his family to celebrate his life on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. His Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment with military honors will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry’s memory may be made to Compassus Hospice, 200 Campbell Drive, Suite 106, Willingboro, NJ 08046. The assistance and care from Tom and Gloria at Compassus will never be forgotten.
