Thinking of you all right now. The Burns household was like another home to me growing up and I'm so grateful for all of the dinner table conversations and gatherings I got to share in. I always so admired your family's commitment to each other, the way you all voraciously live life to the fullest, always questioning and growing, the importance you all place on music and culture and the quest to never stop learning. It really shaped my thoughts about the kind of family that I want to have one day! :) Love to Bunnie! Sending love to Christie and the family. Your mom was pretty amazing, and incredibly kind. When I screwed up and had people to your house when I was supposed to be keeping an eye on things I remember sitting in your living room and telling how I screwed up and I was expecting her to be angry and yell - she probably was and may have wanted to, but instead she said she was disappointed and took time to talk with me and teach me a lesson in responsibility and ownership of our mistakes. It was an important lesson on how to be gracious and kind while being firm and teaching a punk teenager a thing or two about life. it was an honor to know her and while she may have passed her impact and her life's legacy lives on in those who have been impacted by her. Christie and John and the entire Burns family- I hope you find comfort in love that surrounds you and the many memories of her that will live on in you.
