Tom had a vast variety of books that he read. He would often tell me of a series he had read that he thought I, too, would like. We had lots of good chats in the sun-room of his home in Lumberton.
He never failed to talk about Alice and "the kids". He was proud of all the successes that the family has earned and enjoyed. He was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. Not too long ago, he said her didn't know about this great-grandfather thing, but "My, those are cute little children!"
I enjoyed knowing this fine man and his wife and treasure our talks and walks (to the mailbox!). Barbara Lewis
