Harry A. Sandone's Obituary
Harry A. Sandone, 82, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, with his family by his side. Born on December 11, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Kathryn Sandone (nee Alvarez).
Harry was the devoted husband of nearly 50 years to Carolann Sandone (nee Dill). Loving father of Michele Reymer (James) and Susan Sandone. Cherished grandfather of Benjamin and Jacob Mervine. Dear brother of Joseph Sandone Jr. (the late Miriam), Richard Sandone (the late Mary), and the late Karen Brozina. He was also a beloved brother-in-law to Chip Dill (Tina), the late Annette McAnany (the late Brian), and Pam Weller (Bud). Harry will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
Harry dedicated his career to serving the community as a health officer for Camden County. Outside of work, he was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and could often be found relaxing in his favorite recliner, remote in hand, cheering on his teams. A lifelong golfer, Harry especially treasured his annual golf trips to Myrtle Beach with his brother Joe.
Above all else, Harry’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He loved his wife deeply, was endlessly proud of his children, and never missed an opportunity to talk about his grandsons to anyone who would listen. In his downtime, Harry enjoyed playing bridge and chess, snacking on pretzel rods and cheeseballs, following history and politics, and spending time with his dogs, especially Sparky and his beloved granddogs.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Givnish of Marlton from 10:00am to 11:30am, with his memorial service beginning at 11:30am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Harry’s name may be made to St. Michael’s Lutheran Church https://www.stmichaelslutheranchurch.org/
