Helen K. Fantine's Obituary
Helen K. Fantine (née Kovalick) passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at her residence in Maple Shade, New Jersey, surrounded by her loving family, after courageously battling cancer for the past few years.
Helen was born in Trenton, New Jersey, to the late Frank and Ruth (née Vanisko) Kovalick. She was the loving wife to David Fantine. They married in 1981 and they built a beautiful life in the Mayfair Section of Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
She was a devoted mother to Jennifer (John) Papeika and Andrea (Jeffrey) Wheeler, and proud Mom-Mom to Arya, Adalina, Walter, Oliver, and Juliet. Helen is also survived by her sister, Ruth Savage.
Helen had a passion for cooking, baking, and fashion. Her meals could have been in a best selling cookbook. Her warm heart, strength, home cooked meals, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will be remembered always.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 24, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street. Helen’s memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
