Helene Jean Peters' Obituary
Helene Jean Peters (née Czaja) passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at the age of 85. Born in Philadelphia, PA, to Theodore and Jean Czaja, Helene was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her.
Helene was the devoted wife and best friend of 53 years to the late William J. Peters, who preceded her in passing in 2012. She was the loving mother of Michele (Shelly) Peters, Mark (Michelle) Peters, and Nicole (Andrew) Necowitz, and the cherished "Baba" to her grandchildren, Kyle, Kelsey, Colin, and Kylie. She is also survived by her dear sister, Phyllis White.
A proud resident of Cinnaminson since 1958, Helene remained active in her community, working as a lunch aide at Cinnaminson Rush School well into her later years. She was known for her love of gardening, her enthusiasm for the Mummers, and her joyful participation in local traditions like the St. Charles Borromeo Carnival and Riverton's Fourth of July celebrations. Whether at her pool, on the beach, or spending time with loved ones, Helene found joy in life’s simple pleasures.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, followed by Helene’s funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, causes close to Helene’s heart.
