Horace Joseph MacAdams' Obituary
Horace Joseph “Mac” MacAdams, of Maple Shade, NJ, passed away on September 13, 2022. Born in Camden, NJ to the late Charles and Lydia MacAdams, he was 91 years old.
Horace was the beloved husband of Mary (nee Santore) for 68 years; loving father of Charles MacAdams and Joanne Anderson (Edward); cherished grandfather of Jessica Anderson (Ralph Vasso), Lydia Villano (Michael), Kelsey MacAdams, and Shannon MacAdams; great grandfather of Ava and Vinny. Horace was predeceased by his brothers, Charles, Joseph, Edwin, Eugene, and Reynolds MacAdams. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Horace was a United States Army Veteran. He owned his own business, McHugh Realty, in Maple Shade, and also owned Toth-MacAdams Oil in Maple Shade. Horace was a proud member of the Maple Shade Rotary Club for many years; the Lions Club, the Maple Shade Advisory Board, Board of Realtors, and he served on the School Board. He was very involved in his community and was a hard-working family man.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main St., on Wednesday evening, September 21st, from 6 pm to 7 pm. A service will begin at 7 pm. Interment will be private at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, Horace’s family would appreciate donations in his name be made to the Army & Navy Union Garrison No. 52, 26 Riverview Avenue, National Park, NJ 08063.
