Irma R. Lisanti's Obituary
Irma R. Lisanti, 88, currently of Burlington Township and formerly of Philadelphia passed away on Tuesday February 12, 2019.
Irma began her secretarial career at the University of Pennsylvania Law School in Philadelphia. In 1953, she accepted a position with LeRoy Comanor, Esq., a prominent Philadelphia attorney. She became his administrative secretary and worked for him until his death in 1975. Later she worked as the secretary to the Program Support Officer, Naval Aviation Engineering Service Unit (NAESU). When she retired, she was the secretary to the Commanding Officer of NAESU.
She was an active member of the National Secretaries Association, Philadelphia Chapter. She was a member of the board of directors and chaired several committees. She was also a member of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. She served as director of District Eleven which had a membership of 1,100 women. She was president of the Philadelphia Club and a member of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Federation.
She was a graduate of the Columbia Institute, a two-year business college.
Irma R. Lisanti was a devoted sister to (late) Rosana “Dolly” Petti (Louis, Sr.). Irma was a loving aunt to Peg Smith (late Shelden), Sue Renzi (Jerry), Robert (Katie), Chris (Cindy), Mark (Vicki), Lou Jr. (Mary), and Neal Petti (Denise). She is survived by her 22 Grandnieces and nephews, Dooner Smith, Rebecca, Alexis, Rachel (Joe) Waldman, Nick (Mamie), Amy (Shawn) Pfeiffer, Rich Manco, Gina (Tony) Baldasari, Mark Jr., Jason, Erika (Nate) Lawfer, Mike Renzi, Lindsay, Brittany, Krista, Michaelina, and Gianni Petti. Also survived by 7 Greatgrand nieces and nephews, Evie, Nathan, Caroline, and Josephine Lawfer, Joey Waldman, Emma Pfeiffer, and Hazel Bishop Petti. Irma was a beloved friend to many and adored by her caring family at the Masonic Village in Burlington.
A gathering of family and friends for Irma R. Lisanti will take place on Saturday February 16, 2019 at Givnish of Cinnaminson, Route 130 N. Cinnaminson, NJ 08077 from 9-10am. Following the visitation a funeral mass will be held at St. Charles of Borromeo, 2500 Branch Pike Cinnaminson, NJ 08077 at 10:30am. An interment for Irma R.
