Jacqueline L. Jordan's Obituary
Jacqueline L. Jordan (nee Carey), affectionately known as Jackie to those who knew and loved her, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025. Born in Camden, NJ to the late Robert and Florence (nee Groff) Carey, she was 75 years old.
Jackie was the beloved wife of the late James F. Jordan for 52 years; Loving mother of Natalie Beckett (David), James C. Jordan (Nicole), Joshua Jordan (Melissa), and Andrea Haselnus (Scott); Cherished Grandmother of Shannon, Jeffrey, Jacob, Sarah, Jonah, Jordan, Jackson, Shane, Liam and Cooper; Dear sister of Carol Schmeck (Paul), Robert Carey (Lynn), and the late Sharon West (late Elbert) and the late Ruthann Carey. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will miss her greatly.
Jackie was a devoted follower of Jesus who loved to study His word and share it with others. She was an avid journaler, and her copious writing entries would surprise most. She loved the outdoors and took in the beauty of all of creation. Jackie was a lover of books and collected many. Butterflies were another love of hers, and they could be found in artwork, clothing, or crafted gifts throughout her house. She loved her friends and family, especially her grandchildren, for whom she prayed daily. Sitting and visiting with those she loved was something she enjoyed immensely, and that is what we will miss the most.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street, on Thursday evening, March 6th from 3:30 – 5:30 pm. A memorial service will begin at 5:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jackie’s memory may be made to Samaritan Hospice (856) 552-3205, https://samaritannj.org/giving/donate-now/.
