James M. Blaetz's Obituary
James M. Blaetz, age 89, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2015. He was born at home on Holly Avenue and resided in Maple Shade for 73 years.
Jim proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a longtime steelworker who retired from RCA, Moorestown, NJ. Jim was an athletic man who enjoyed working out and riding his bike. He was an accomplished artist who could draw or paint just about anything.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, RoseMary Blaetz (nee Peacock) and his daughter, Faith M. Blaetz. He is survived by his loving children, Kathleen Ruth Powell of Flemington, NJ, Stuart J. Blaetz and Raymond W. Blaetz, both of Maple Shade, NJ, and Edward J. Blaetz (Margaret (nee Fitzpatrick)) of Franklinville, NJ. Cherished grandfather of 7 and proud great grandfather of 6. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jim’s life celebration at Inglesby/Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 E. Main St., on Thursday from 9:30 am – 11 am. His funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gloucester Country Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s name may be made to S.O.S. Beagles www.sosbeagles.org.
