James M. Crosby's Obituary
James M. Crosby passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at his residence in Maple Shade surrounded by his family. Jim was born in Philadelphia to Richard and Helen Blagrave, he was 63 years old. He was a former resident of Marlton for 36 years.
Loving husband of 38 years to Maureen (nee Smart) and devoted father of Patricia (Korye) Czyzewski, James P. (fiancée Ulla Parmentier) and Katherine (Matthew) Ogin. Cherished grandfather of Gemma, Gwen, Logan, Aubrey and Mae. Brother of Kathleen Crosby, Dennis Crosby and the late Helen (Donald) Hibbs. Loving uncle to many beloved nieces and nephews.
Jim graduated from Fr. Judge High School, Class of ‘78. He started his career as a crane operator in Northeast Philadelphia until he began fostering his interest in technology as a printer at Phototype Color Graphics. Most recently, he was a realtor for Berkshire Hathaway in Cherry Hill. Jim enjoyed golf, cooking, coaching his children in street hockey and volleyball, movie nights with his family, but most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, September 11th from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Church, 100 Willow Bend Rd. Marlton, NJ. His funeral mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment will be private at later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jim’s name to Head and Neck Cancer Research at Penn Medicine, 3535 Market St, Ste. 750, Philadelphia, PA, 19104, or to St. Joan of Arc Church.
