James J. Eger Sr.'s Obituary
James J. Eger, Sr. passed away peacefully at his residence in Merchantville on October 19, 2016 surrounded by his family. Born in Mt. Holly, Jim was 78 years old. He was resident of Merchantville since 1995. He was a former resident of Camden. Jim was employed as a book binder for Thomas Nelson Publishing, Camden, NJ. After his retirement from the bindery Jim was employed as a medical equipment technician at Omnimed, Inc of Moorestown. He was a member of the Oak Orchard Riverdale American Legion Post #28 of Millsboro, DE and VFW Post #1270 of Pennsauken, NJ.
Beloved husband of the late Joann M. Eger, father of James J. Jr., grandfather of James J. III, father-in-law of Joan Scranton Eger, cousin of Tricia Getka, Jodie Kensler, Susan Julio and Bill Kensler, Jr. Jim is also survived by his step granddaughters and step grandson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his life celebration and viewing Friday, October 28, 2016, from 9 -11 a.m at Inglesby/Givnish of Maple Shade 600 East Main Street.
