James Kevin Field Sr.'s Obituary
James Kevin Field, Sr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Samaritan Hospice
in Mt. Holly, N.J. Born in Philadelphia to Melvin and Margaret (nee Brennan) Field, Kevin was
73 years old. He was a resident of Cinnaminson and formerly lived in Shamong, NJ, Virginia
Beach, VA and Des Moines, IA. Kevin is survived by his 4 children Jim (Sophie) Field, Jeff
(Amanda) Field, Mike (Jen) Field and Kelly Field. Also, seven grandchildren-Addison, Julia, Brayden, Tyler, Kaden, Drake and Ellie Mae. Also survived by loving brothers Thomas (Connie) Field, Dennis (Elizabeth) Field and loving sister Mary Ellen (Paul) Benetz. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Kevin was employed in Print Management, first in Washington, DC, then for the City of Virginia Beach and later for
Wells Fargo Bank in Des Moines, IA. Kevin was very active in the International Publishing
Management Association (IPMA) of Virginia Beach throughout the years and served in several leadership capacities including a term as President of the Washington DC chapter in the Association. Through the IPMA, he maintained close personal associations with many of the members.
Kevin graduated from Father Judge High School, the Class of 1969, and he was a bench
manager for their Basketball Team. He went on to graduate from La Salle University
in 1982 with a BS degree in Business Administration. Kevin was an avid Philadelphia Sports Fan and followed the Eagles, Phillies, Sixers and Flyers. He truly enjoyed playing golf and really enjoyed his time in Virginia Beach and Des Moines playing with Tom Kline and his friends. Kevin attended the Masters in 2022 and was so excited as the ground crew gave him a special treat driving him in a golf cart and gave him a scorecard only Members receive. Kevin told brother Dennis he thought he was in Heaven.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, June 3, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at
Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North. Kevin’s Memorial Mass will follow 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church Branch Pike and Pomona Road Cinnaminson.
