James R. Fowles Sr.'s Obituary
James R. Fowles, Sr., of Cinnaminson, passed away on February 29th, 2024. He was 86 years old. James was born on October 27th, 1937, to Alice Fowles (nee Rupp) and James Wolf. Devoted husband to the late Barbara J. Fowles (nee Smith). Loving father to James R. Fowles, Jr. (Denise), Steven J. Fowles (Amy), and Candi Wildey. Beloved grandfather to Kurtis Fowles, Taylor Fowles Archer (Greg), Tiffany Fowles, and Tatum Fowles. Cherished brother of Ted Fowles and Lila Reese (pre-deceased).
Life information…
James “Ron” owned and operated the Palmyra 5 & 10 and Sporting Goods store until it closed in the early 1980’s where he then went on to manage several Home Improvement stores. Ron served in the USMC from 1956 until the early 1960’s. He married Barbara Jean Smith in the Summer of 1958 and moved to Cinnaminson in 1961. Ron loved his sports, playing basketball, baseball and enjoyed coaching and playing sports with his children. Ron enjoyed building and remodeling just about anything, from decks to bathrooms, for his house or Family and friends. He was truly a Jack of All Trades. In his later years, Ron adored his grandchildren and spent much time with Kurtis, and “the girls”, Taylor, Tiffany and Tatum.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson. Located at 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ, 08077. Following the visitation there will be a funeral service at 12 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
