James J. Grady Jr.'s Obituary
James J. Grady, Jr. passed away peacefully of June 11, 2023 at Virtua Hospital in Marlton. Born in Philadelphia to James and Agnes Grady, Jim was 78 years old. He was a resident of Marlton and formerly of Maple Shade. Beloved husband of 53 years to Susan D. (nee Hillman). Loving father of Michael P. (Tricia) Grady, James J. (Sandy) Grady, Susan D. Grady and the late Daniel Patrick Grady. Cherished Pop-Pop to the late Brian Patrick, Joseph, Kristen Pedone (Nicolas), Nicholas, Michael, Kaitlin, Matthew and Karly. Great Grandfather of Connor Skok.
Brother of Billy, Aggie, Anne, Peggy, Danny and Sharon and Uncle of many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Summers were spent with his grandchildren by the sea at Morey’s Piers in Wildwood. He loved going on rides, the arcades, and winning prizes for his grandchildren. He would always finish the night with his favorite boardwalk Pizza from Franconi’s.
At home he enjoyed watching Sci-Fi and Horror movies, Cooking, playing Mr. Fix-it, cutting the lawn on his riding mower, and always talking to neighbors. He loved resting on his recliner, sipping on coffee next to his beloved dog Lucy, and all his pets.
A gathering of family and friends will be held this Friday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Givnish of Maple Shade 600 East Main Street. Jim’s Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 a.m.
Burial will take place at Colestown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Welfare Association (AWA) Voorhees, NJ -509 Centennial Boulevard, Voorhees NJ 08043
