James V. Hall's Obituary
James V. Hall passed away peacefully on July 19, 2015 with his loving family by his side. Born in Palmyra, Jim was 77 years old. He was a longtime resident of Edgewater Park and formerly of Palmyra, NJ. Beloved husband of 55 years to Judy A. (nee Ulissi). Loving father of James V. Hall, Jr. and his wife Kerry, and Kimberly Joy Hall. Cherished grandfather of Connor and McKenzie. Son of the late Alfred W. and the late Florence M. Hall. Brother of Robert, John, the late Alfred, the late William and the late Florence Wright. Jim also leaves behind his grand"fur"children "Allie", "CeCe", "Dewey" and "Percy".
He was a 1956 graduate of Palmyra High School. James was Past Grand Knight of the St. Joseph’s Council Post #1984 of Palmyra. He retired from the Edgewater Park Township School District where he was the School Business Administrator for many years. He also served as CFO for the Edgewater Park Municipal Township and member of the Edgewater Park Sewerage Authority. James was a member of the NJ Association of School Business Officials and a member of the Burlington County Association of School Business Officials.
James served on the Board of Directors for Monument Cemetery in Beverly, NJ. He was a former baseball coach for the Edgewater Park Little League. Jim enjoyed his Sacred Heart breakfast club, No-Name Car Club and the Wednesday morning garage coffee group.
James was united in marriage to Judith A. Hall at St. Joseph's Church in Beverly, New Jersey. The couple shared in 55 wonderful years together raising two precious and unique children.
James' family feels honored to have him as a part of their lives as a teacher, a car enthusiast, a lover of long car trips, and a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. James was predeceased by his loving in-laws Lily and Joseph Zappacosta. His daughter remembers him as a man who had enough knowledge of Packard cars to fill a library, as well as the beautiful man who enjoyed his family with dedication and love. A man they respected and loved. A man who's knowledge of everything always impressed and taught a lot. A man who had a way of taking meticulous care and showing great attention to detail in everyday little jobs, like changing a battery, completing a puzzle or model, and working on his beloved Packard. He will be dearly missed.
Relatives, friends and members of the many clubs and organizations that Jim belonged to are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 27th, at the Sacred Heart Church, 103 Fourth St. Riverton, NJ 08077. Family and friends are invited to a calling hour one hour prior to the Mass at Sacred Heart Church between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private and held at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in his name, may be made to Monument Cemetery Association 812 Bridgeboro Rd. Edgewater Park, NJ 08010.
