James C. Sutton's Obituary
James "Jim" Sutton, 73, of Cinnaminson, NJ, peacefully passed away on July 17, 2023, in Philadelphia, PA. He was born on June 14, 1950 to the late Eurias and Bridget Sutton.
Jim's journey began in the close-knit Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia, where he attended Cardinal Dougherty High School. Throughout his life, he showcased an unwavering work ethic and excelled as a dedicated salesman, making a significant impact in various companies. His final years of employment were spent at Cento Foods in Thorofare, NJ.
Jim was a devoted husband to the late Michaelene Sutton (nee Wojcik) and a caring father to Renee Gill (Steven), Jim Sutton (Mary Kay), Sandra Konestki (Ed), and Becky Jones (Jeff). Brother to Patricia Holderbach (Jack).
Upon his retirement, Jim discovered joy and peace in gardening and bird watching from the comfort of his backyard. But perhaps his most cherished role was that of "Chizzy" to his 17 grandchildren; Eddie, Timmy, Christian, Abby, Bridget, Luke, Reid, Bella, Dean, Drew, Alex, Ryan, Lexi, Aaden, Noah, MacKenzie and Madison. Jim, along with wife Michaelene, devoted their attention and time providing childcare for their grandchildren, creating cherished memories and instilling the importance of family to their grandchildren as they did to their own children.
He will be dearly missed by his surviving family members, including his sister Patricia Holderbach (Jack) and nephews John and Michael Holderbach, as well as numerous other relatives and friends whose lives were touched by his warmth and generosity.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Jim will remember him as a man of few complaints, easygoing, and kind-hearted. He made friends effortlessly, and his positive spirit was contagious, leaving a lasting impact on all those who had the pleasure of crossing his path.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Monday, July 24th, at Givnish of Cinnaminson, located at 1200 Route 130 North, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, to celebrate Jim's life and share fond memories. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church of Riverton. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson.
