James William Vitt Sr.'s Obituary
James William Vitt, Sr. passed away peacefully of Friday, October 17, 2014 in North Carolina.
Born in Moorestown, Jim was 82 years old and he formerly lived in Cinnaminson for over 48 years.
He was son to the late John & Emma Baley Vitt. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Jim worked for RCA Missile Systems and Radar throughout his life and was instrumental in work on the Aegis Radar System, Lunar Missions, and the Lunar Module and Lunar Rover
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara A. White Vitt and sons; James W. Vitt, Jr. (Ann), Edward J. Vitt (Robbin), David P. Vitt (Cheryl), grandchildren; Kristin Kelly, Bobby Vitt, Stephanie Vitt, James Vitt III, Emilie A. Vitt, and great granddaughter; Robbin Kelley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jim’s Life Celebration and viewing Wednesday Eve 7-9 pm and Thursday 9-10 am at Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. His Funeral Mass will follow 10:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
