James D. Walker's Obituary
James D. Walker, 78, of Moorestown, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2022.
Born in Camden, NJ, on August 16, 1944 to the late James and Helen Walker. Devoted husband to Patricia Walker (nee Powers). Dear father to Jennifer O’Donnell (Richard), James Walker (Melanie), and Amy Maahs (Michael). Beloved grandfather to Kelley (Chris), Kasey (Dan), Alyson, James, Lauren, Nicholas, and Emma. Great grandfather to Austen and Nina. Brother to the late Patricia McMenamin.
Jimmy worked as a machinist for over 50 years. Some of his hobbies included hunting, fishing, and working in his garden. He was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed watching the games with a Miller Lite in hand. Most of all he will be remembered by the love and adoration he had for his 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Thursday, December 29th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help of Maple Shade from 10:00am to 11:00am with his funeral mass following at 11:00am. Entombment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Nemours Children’s Hospital, https://www.nemours.org/givingtonemours.html.
