James A. Zenkowich's Obituary
James (Jim) Zenkowich of Delran passed away peacefully on February 26, at the age of 68, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his children, Kristine Darmo, Michael Zenkowich and his wife, Kelly Zenkowich, Danielle McCoy and her husband, Brett McCoy, as well as his cherished granddaughter, Mila Darmo. He is also survived by his brothers, John Zenkowich, Matt Zenkowich and his wife, Michele Zenkowich. He also adored his granddogs, Loki, Shae, Bella, Chooch, Louie, and Winston J. Dog.
Jim was born on June 21, 1955 in Riverside and grew up in Cinnaminson, NJ. He graduated from Cinnaminson High School in 1973, where he ran cross-country and track. He dedicated 35 years of service to the US Postal Service.
Jim was not only an exceptionally kind human being but also a patient, loving, and encouraging father and grandfather. He had many passions and interests throughout his life. As a lover of gardening, he enjoyed teaching his granddaughter everything he knew and always had a surplus of tomatoes. Jim was an avid fan of local sports teams. If he wasn't spectating in the bleachers, he could be found coaching on the sidelines, or involved as a board member for various Cinnaminson sports. Jim had a fondness of local delicacies such as Boost slushies, Porkroll, and Mart Pretzels. He would always find time to make a trip to Seaside Heights boardwalk for his annual sausage and peppers hoagie. Jim had a love for travel and travel planning. He was able to complete a goal to visit all 50 states and made multiple trips to Europe with his family. He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.
Interment will be private.
