Janet M. Anderson's Obituary
Janet May Anderson (nee Kaeufer), 79, of Mount Laurel, NJ, passed away
peacefully on July 26, 2023 with her children at her side. Born on January
11, 1944 in Maple Shade, NJ, to the late Martin Kaeufer and the late Mary
Florence Baldwin. Devoted mother to Diane Trump (David) and Greg
Diamond (Kelley). Beloved grandmom to Kevin Trump (Amelia), Lauren
Ware (Matthew), and Brodie Diamond. Great grandmother “GiGi” to her
sweet Ellie Mae Ware. Dear sister to Thomas Kingston, the late Martin
“Jack” Kaeufer, and the late Richard Kingston. Special Aunt to Steve
Kaeufer and Erick Kaeufer.
Janet was most proud of her children and grandchildren, and could always
be found attending their countless school activities, sports, theater, and
musical events throughout their lives, and boasting of the details to anyone
who would lend an ear.
Janet was raised in the Parry section of Cinnaminson in the loving care of
her father and grandmother, Catherine “Katie” Kaeufer along with her
brother Jack. Janet was a 1962 graduate of Palmyra High School where she
was a proud majorette. Janet was crowned Miss Cinnaminson in May, 1960
during the Cinnaminson Centennial and later that year was active in the
John F. Kennedy presidential campaign, which sparked a lifelong passion for
political activism. She was active in local environmental protection causes
throughout the 1970’s as a member of the Pompeston Environmental
Committee in Burlington County.
Janet worked in the field of banking and mortgage compliance over 30
years, primarily as a specialist in consumer protection laws, working for
major companies including GE Capitol, Midlantic Banks, Continental Bank,
and GMAC Rescap. Janet was most proud of her accomplishments as an
ABA Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager, with extensive experience
in anti-discrimination laws as her passion. Janet traveled the country for
her work, training hundreds of mortgage banking professionals in the
complexity of navigating regulatory compliance.
Janet was an avid, lifelong reader, often reading 2 and 3 books at a time
and was always excited to share the details of her latest reads. She enjoyed
musical theater, traveling to Philly and NYC for shows with family and
friends. She was passionate about music, particularly early folk music,
bluegrass, and classical pieces. Later in life, Janet traveled to Ireland,
Scotland, Italy, and the United Kingdom, as well as numerous U.S. trips to
historical and Civil War sites and wineries throughout the East Coast.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at Givnish of Cinnaminson,
1200 Route 130 North from 9:30 to 11:00 am with friends and family
sharing beginning at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet’s name
may be made to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage, 419 Cooper Road,
Voorhees, NJ, 08043, where she adopted her beloved cat of 21 years,
Butchie.
