Jay VanKirk's Obituary
Jay VanKirk passed away unexpectedly on June 19, 2026, at his residence in Gloucester, New Jersey.
Jay spent most of his life in the Tacony section of Philadelphia before later making his home in Maple Shade, New Jersey. He was a proud member of Local 322 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and dedicated many years of service to Riggs Distler & Company.
Jay was the loving father of Jason VanKirk and Camron VanKirk. He is survived by his mother, Debra Roge, his brother, Jory VanKirk, and the mother of his children and former wife, Angeline Marie VanKirk. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Michael Roge, and his brother, Raymond Michael Roge. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends,
Jay enjoyed spending time with his many friends and was happiest when surrounded by those he cared about. In his younger years, he had a passion for working on cars, especially his cherished Pontiac Bonneville. He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his loyalty to family and friends, and the many memories he created throughout his life.
Relatives and friends are invited to Jay’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street, Maple Shade, New Jersey. Jay’s Life Celebration Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
